Airplane pilot training facility located at Racine Batten International Airport. Windborne provides primary flight training designed to take new pilots from zero time through commercial license. Training is guided by the FAA's Airman Certification Standards but goes beyond to make requirements and standards approachable and applicable to safe, practical flying. Each student pilot learns differently so curriculum and lesson plans are tailored to individual needs.
Private Pilot
Private pilot certificate program from zero experience through checkride, including ground school and flight training.
Instrument Rating
IFR training covering precision and non-precision approaches, holds, cross-country flight planning, and partial-panel work.
Flight Review
Biennial flight review including a ground session on regulations and aeronautical knowledge plus a flight portion with maneuvers.
IPC
Instrument proficiency check to regain IFR currency, covering approaches, holds, intercepting and tracking courses.
