TruFlight Academy is a women-owned, veteran-owned helicopter flight school based at Finney Field near Howe and Sherman, Texas. Founded by Scarlett and Todd Guison, a former Army Black Hawk pilot and certified instructor, we provide safe and professional rotorcraft training with modern Cabri G2 helicopters. Our programs include discovery flights, Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rating, and rotorcraft add-on training.
Private Pilot
Private pilot certificate program from zero experience through checkride, including ground school and flight training.
Commercial Pilot
Commercial certificate training including complex and high-performance aircraft time, maneuvers, and cross-country requirements.
CFI
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training covering fundamentals of instruction, lesson planning, and flight teaching techniques for single-engine aircraft.
Aircraft Rental
Rent aircraft for solo flights after completing a checkout with one of our instructors. Wet and dry rates available.
