Tarrant County College's Professional Pilot program trains fixed wing and helicopter pilots at the Hadley Center of Excellence at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas. Students follow an FAA Part 141 approved curriculum through partners US Aviation Academy and Veracity Aviation, earning an AAS degree or Commercial Pilot certificate in about two years. The program accepts zero-time private applicants as well as instrument applicants who already hold a private pilot license.
Aviation Degree Program
Associate or bachelor's degree in aviation with integrated flight training, academics, and airline career preparation.
Commercial Pilot
Commercial certificate training including complex and high-performance aircraft time, maneuvers, and cross-country requirements.
Helicopter Training
Rotorcraft flight training from private through commercial certificates, including hover work, autorotations, and confined-area operations.
Private Pilot
Private pilot certificate program from zero experience through checkride, including ground school and flight training.
Instrument Rating
IFR training covering precision and non-precision approaches, holds, cross-country flight planning, and partial-panel work.
