Sun City Aviation Academy is an FAA Part 141 Certified Flight School located in Pembroke Pines, Florida at North Perry Airport (KHWO). The academy trains professional, safe, and proficient pilots with individualized instruction. Founded in December 2022 by Luke Poulos, the school offers a variety of flight training programs from private pilot to commercial pilot and serves the greater Miami area.
Private Pilot
Private pilot certificate program from zero experience through checkride, including ground school and flight training.
Instrument Rating
IFR training covering precision and non-precision approaches, holds, cross-country flight planning, and partial-panel work.
Commercial Pilot
Commercial certificate training including complex and high-performance aircraft time, maneuvers, and cross-country requirements.
Multi-Engine Rating
Multi-engine add-on rating with training in engine-out procedures, Vmc demonstrations, and systems management.
CFI
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training covering fundamentals of instruction, lesson planning, and flight teaching techniques for single-engine aircraft.
ATP
Airline Transport Pilot certificate preparation covering airline-level operations, crew resource management, and ATP knowledge test prep.
Flight Review
Biennial flight review including a ground session on regulations and aeronautical knowledge plus a flight portion with maneuvers.
IPC
Instrument proficiency check to regain IFR currency, covering approaches, holds, intercepting and tracking courses.
