Mercer County Community College offers the only two-year AABI accredited aviation degree program in the nation. The Part 141 Aviation Flight Technology A.A.S. covers private and commercial certificates plus the instrument rating in single and multi-engine aircraft, with a restricted ATP pathway at 1,250 hours. Classroom work is at the West Windsor campus and flight training runs with partner Infinity Flight Group at Trenton-Mercer Airport. VA benefits are accepted for the full program.

Training

Aviation Degree Program

Associate or bachelor's degree in aviation with integrated flight training, academics, and airline career preparation.

Career Training

Structured airline career pilot pathway from zero time through CFI or ATP, including mentorship and airline placement assistance.

Private Pilot

Private pilot certificate program from zero experience through checkride, including ground school and flight training.

Instrument Rating

IFR training covering precision and non-precision approaches, holds, cross-country flight planning, and partial-panel work.

Commercial Pilot

Commercial certificate training including complex and high-performance aircraft time, maneuvers, and cross-country requirements.

Multi-Engine Rating

Multi-engine add-on rating with training in engine-out procedures, Vmc demonstrations, and systems management.

ATP

Airline Transport Pilot certificate preparation covering airline-level operations, crew resource management, and ATP knowledge test prep.

Simulator Training

Flight simulation training using FAA-approved devices (AATD, BATD, FTD, or full-motion simulators) for instrument practice, procedure training, and scenario-based exercises.
