JATO Aviation is a Cirrus Platinum Training Center in the San Francisco Bay Area offering structured flight training, advanced rental aircraft, and aviation management services. Founded in 2004 by April Gafford and other instructors, JATO provides integrated training programs from private pilot to jet preparation, with a focus on technologically advanced aircraft and human factors training.
Private Pilot
Private pilot certificate program from zero experience through checkride, including ground school and flight training.
Instrument Rating
IFR training covering precision and non-precision approaches, holds, cross-country flight planning, and partial-panel work.
Multi-Engine Rating
Multi-engine add-on rating with training in engine-out procedures, Vmc demonstrations, and systems management.
Aircraft Rental
Rent aircraft for solo flights after completing a checkout with one of our instructors. Wet and dry rates available.
