Hogan Flying Service is a Part 61 flight school dedicated to helping you reach your aviation goals quickly and affordably. The Hogan family has been proudly serving Southwest Ohio pilots since 1929. Joe and Bernie Hogan started flying in 1929 and bought their first Waco 10 in 1932. That same year, Joe's parents, William and Emma Hogan purchased Hamilton Airport, transitioning from farming to aviation.
Private Pilot
Private pilot certificate program from zero experience through checkride, including ground school and flight training.
Instrument Rating
IFR training covering precision and non-precision approaches, holds, cross-country flight planning, and partial-panel work.
Commercial Pilot
Commercial certificate training including complex and high-performance aircraft time, maneuvers, and cross-country requirements.
CFI
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training covering fundamentals of instruction, lesson planning, and flight teaching techniques for single-engine aircraft.
Flight Review
Biennial flight review including a ground session on regulations and aeronautical knowledge plus a flight portion with maneuvers.
Tailwheel
Conventional gear endorsement covering ground handling, crosswind technique, and three-point and wheel landings.
Spin Training
Spin entry recognition, developed spin characteristics, and recovery techniques with emphasis on awareness and prevention.
