Berkshire Aviation Enterprises has operated Great Barrington Airport since 1944, providing maintenance, flight instruction and scenic flights. The airport was originally a potato field converted into a commercial aerodrome in the early 1920s and is home to both private and business-owned general aviation aircraft.
