Bartow Executive Airport is a general aviation airport with a flight school, FBO, air traffic control tower, and industrial park. Originally constructed during WWII as a training field for the US Army Air Corps, it was later operated as a primary flight training facility for military pilots from 1951 to 1960. The airport continues its legacy as a primary pilot training facility and is operated by the Bartow Airport Authority.
