Henderson State University's Department of Aviation is Arkansas's only public university program that offers a four-year Bachelor of Science degree specifically in aviation. The university was founded in 1890 and offers more than 85 academic programs. Henderson State's Department of Aviation operates as a Part 141 flight school and was granted examination authority by the Federal Aviation Administration in August 2025.
