The Aviation Flight Center is the flight training hub of Farmingdale State College's Department of Aviation, located at Republic Airport on Long Island. FSC is the largest collegiate flight school in the Northeast and the only SUNY school offering four-year aviation degrees, including Aeronautical Science: Professional Pilot and Aviation Administration. The college owns and operates a fleet of 21 aircraft plus three Redbird MCX simulators, averaging 5,800 flight hours a year.

Our location at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma, New York, allows our students to experience a variety of flying environments.

Global Aviation has been providing flight training and first flight experiences since 2008. Starting with one plane and instructor, Global Aviation has grown into a full service flight school located in New York and Connecticut with a flying club. They own and operate a fleet of sixteen training aircraft designed to meet specialized training needs. Based in the Atlantic Aviation building at KFRG (Republic Airport) with classroom, FAA approved simulator, club lounge and main office.

Icarus Flying Academy is a New York-based flight school located in Farmingdale, NY, serving the tri-state area. Our goal is to share the gift of flight by providing prospective students with qualified and professional certified flight instructors who prioritize student progression and success. We maintain high standards of safety and professionalism through our extensive experience, attention to detail, and personal touch.

Long Island Aviators, founded in 2003, provides flight instruction from primary students through ATP and aircraft rental at Republic Airport (KFRG) in Farmingdale, New York. The school operates a large fleet of Cessnas, Piper Warriors and Archers, a Grumman Cougar, and a Piper Seneca III, plus a Redbird LD simulator.

Nassau Flyers is an award-winning Cirrus Platinum Flight Training & Service Center based at Republic Airport (KFRG) in Farmingdale, New York. Over the past 40 years, they have offered a wide array of aviation services including aircraft management, comprehensive flight school, advanced flight training programs, and an FAA-approved Cirrus Factory Authorized Service Center. They are the only Platinum Cirrus Training Center on Long Island and easily accessible from New York City.

Tasco Aviation is based at Republic Airport (KFRG) in Farmingdale, New York, offering aircraft rental, flight training, ground training, sightseeing tours, and airframe and powerplant repair and inspection services. The school operates a G1000-equipped Cessna 172.

Vxperts Aviation is an upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) specialist based at Republic Airport (KFRG) in Farmingdale, New York. Programs run from Principles of UPRT through Advanced UPRT with an introduction to aerobatics, serving everyone from student pilots to airline transport pilots, with custom courses available on site or at a customer's own facility. Training is led by chief pilot David Windmiller, a US Team aerobatic pilot with more than 18,000 flight hours.
