The business was originally founded in 1976 and purchased by John and Diana Walkup on January 1, 1980. The facility includes an 8,000-square-foot office building, a 14,000 sq ft executive hangar, and an 8,000 sq ft maintenance hangar.

Dodge City Community College operates a Flight Instructor Pilot program from a dedicated facility in Chandler, Arizona, training students with zero experience through FAA Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor certificates in fixed-wing or helicopter tracks while earning an associate degree.
